I will design a cover that will be unique and relevant to your title and text. A cover that will be effective and get attention in the marketplace. And above all a cover that you will love!
Consultation
I will personally call you so we can discuss your vision and specifications for the design. I will also keep you informed of its progress. (Typical turn-times are, concepts within 5 days, completion within 2 weeks of approval). I will always be available to you to discuss any questions you may have concerning design, print or marketing of your book.
Cover Design Concepts
I will provide you with one to three cover design concepts (front only). If I feel strongly about one I will let you know and my reasons why, but bottom line is, you must be satisfied with the design. If not, then I will create up to three concepts at no extra charge. Additional concepts beyond three can be provided at $300 per additional design. Please keep in mind that I will always be fair with you. Your satifaction is my ultimate goal. I will use up to three royalty-free images. Non royalty-free images or illustrations will incur an extra cost.
Approved Cover Design
When I get an approval of a concept, I will then create the back cover with your backliner copy, bio, and ISBN barcode. I will also create the spine. (I will need the final page count and/or specs from your printer in order to size the spine width correctly). You will then receive a final pdf of the full cover spread for your approval.
Final Approved Cover Design
After I have your final approval, I will prepare a press-ready pdf for the printer that you have selected. I will always be available to talk to your printer and provide any special requirements that they may need. Having a designer who is willing to work with the printer is very important.
Payment
We require a 50% down payment to begin the work and the balance upon completion. Preferred payment method is PayPal, because the transaction is secure. We also except check or money order but this could delay the project up to two weeks for check clearing. Rest assured, there are NO hidden fees.
